Brexit, The Pandemic and Politics, all bringing the UK down

The United Kingdom has stepped into a new era - The Brave New World. It's the time of COVID-19 pandemic, Brexit and energy crisis.

Unholy Trinity of COVID-19, Brexit and Energy Crisis

The Unholy Trinity of COVID-19, Brexit and Energy Crisis, the formula that

Covid-19

COVID-19 is a pandemic that has hit the world worse than any crisis seen in this generation. The virus killed the human population in scores and brought the world to a stand still. Many lost their lives and many yet lost their livelihoods. Britain is one of the worlds top medical facilitator and yet COVID had brought it down to its knees. People out of jobs, businesses closed and the government in turmoil trying to figure out the end for an unknown beginning. People were still clueless about the affects of Brexit, that came into effect on February 1st of 2020, but the covid just everything to a stand still that would last for a whole year and its affects were damning.

Brexit

Brexit is a political crisis in which the United Kingdom is deciding whether or not to leave the European Union (EU). The world started rotating again for most business as soon as the COVID lockdown were lifted until they realized that the Brexit was going to cause them a whole lot of pain.

Businesses were already feeling the pain of lost income and shrunken economy, when Brexit was starting to show its true colors. Another set of pain had begun for businesses with lack of access to cheap labor, restrictions on import and export of goods with the EU nations, and overall lack of clarity surrounding the Brexit.

The economic effects of Brexit on the UK will be significant. There is a high likelihood that the UK will have to pay a large sum of money in order to leave the EU, and this could have an impact on the economy.

The UK economy is currently growing at about 1.5% per year, so any slowdown in growth will have an impact on how much money businesses make and how much tax they pay.

There are many reasons why this could happen, but one of the main reasons relates to trade with other countries. If there is a slowdown in trade between the UK and EU then there may not be enough demand for goods produced in the UK, which could lead to lower profits for companies, meaning they wouldn't be able to afford as many people or new factories or machines.

This could also mean that companies who export goods would see their profits reduce because they can't sell as much overseas as they did before Brexit occurred.

Energy Crisis

The UK is a member of the European Union and imports most of its oil and gas. The country has been hit hard by the economic crisis, which has led to high fuel prices.

The economic crisis in Italy, Greece and Spain has had a major effect on the whole European economy. This has now spilled over into other countries such as the UK, which has become dependent on imported energy products.

As a result, there have been several problems with power supplies in recent months. There have been blackouts across much of England, Wales and Scotland due to shortages of electricity from coal-fired power stations.

The UK's fuel price is the highest in Europe. The price of unleaded petrol has risen by almost a third since January, while diesel has risen by 14 per cent.

The cost of electricity has also been increasing. The government plans to increase the capacity of its nuclear power stations, but experts warn that this will not be enough to meet demand.

The country has about 1,000 wind farms and is the world's biggest producer of offshore wind turbines. But they are expensive to install and maintain, and critics say they are actually producing less energy than coal-fired plants which are cheaper to run.

Conclusion

The UK is on fire. It’s time to prepare for the next round of flames.
